I had never read that quote of his about feminism. I consider myself a feminist, and I LOVE men…(grins lasciviously)
Yeah, I really don’t get it. I see no inconsistency between being a feminist (or a lesbian, or a lesbian feminist) and loving men. He was merely fostering a stereotype dearly held by the religious right, IMO. Those folks have a problem with complexity, ambiguity, reality.
Dang. Some of that stuff sounds straight off of Saturday Night live. I was laughing pretty hard when I was reading it. Then I realized he was serious.
