Pimp yourself. You know you want to.

We bought a Sony eBook reader today. Yes, it’s pricy, and yes, it won’t wipe my virtual butt for me the way an HP iPAQ would, but I like the clean look of the page. And besides, we never use our frequent flier miles, so this seemed as good a use for our miles as any.

Below the fold: Pimp your eBook, guest blog at Balls and Walnuts, and more!

Pimp your eBook

So now that I’m the proud owner of a way bitchun eBook reader, I need some eBooks to read!

Many of you have published eBooks through Ellora’s Cave (and elsewhere, for all I know). In the comments, sell me on your eBook(s). I like FUNNY and/or KINKY erotica & romance. Pimp your whole oeuvre, for all I care. Hyperlinks are a decided plus. S&M is an extra-special plus.

Be a Balls and Walnuts Guest Blogger!

Which means, of course, that you could pimp yourself even more. Previous guest bloggers are still welcome here (since none of you pissed on the carpet), and of course new guest bloggers would be doubly welcome. I need guest bloggers for February 15 to February 19. I’m going to a sleep disorders meeting in Orlando.
If you’re interested, email me at:

harborside (daht)

You would need to send me your posts by NO LATER THAN February 14, preferably sooner so that I’m not overly stressed. You wouldn’t like me when I’m overly stressed.

Balls is Status Quo

Many thanks to those of you who asked about Karen. Not surprisingly, the initial dramatic effect wore off quickly and she’s back to her usual level of pain. She was injected with a combination of lidocaine (a short-acting local anesthetic) and a depot steroid. The lidocaine is long gone, and I wouldn’t expect the depot steroid to have any rapid benefit.

Based on what her doc told us, the positive early response is a good sign that we know what we’re dealing with — sacroiliac pain. This is good news. With repeated injections, she should get better.

The injections were no big deal, by the way. Afterwards, Karen scoffed at all the weenies who require intravenous sedation for this procedure. Of course, this is the woman who gave birth without an epidural, so she’s a bit odd when it comes to pain. Keep beaming your good thoughts — and thank you.

D.

Not my story, but Hired Help has always been a personal favorite.

I don’t have an e-book, but I am working on an online serial novel, starting in mid-March. The address will be http://www.patrickjohanneson.com/etnh/ . The story itself will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday, and it will be a fantasy featuring a sea captain and his crew, a zombie lawyer, an undead wizard, and a treasure that holds at its heart a peril to the entire human race.

Ooo! Ooo! I’ll gladly pimp myself. It turns me on. 😀

One current release of mine is Seeing is Believing, book #2 of the Shrink Wrap trilogy, published by Ellora’s Cave.

    The blurb:
Jessie LaFontaine is haunted — literally. By a one-hundred-seventy-seven-year-old ghost with a high libido and a nasty habit of transferring her naughty urges toward sexy men to Jessie. Desperate to get rid of her specter for good, Jessie follows the advice of a curiously knowledgeable cabbie and pays a visit to a parapsychologist. Problem is, Dr. Nicholas Federov is the studly hunk Jessie got down and dirty with at a nightclub, thanks to the amorous apparition. To make matters worse, Nicholas wants Jessie just as badly as she still wants him.

Who knew getting rid of a ghost could be so hard…or feel so good?

It’s been described as “…a brilliant story by a remarkable author.” (Sheryl at sensual.ecataromance.com) and as “…a light-hearted romp of a story.” (Trang at Fallen Angel Reviews)

You can go HERE to buy it.

And finally, it IS a stand-alone book, but if you read Book #1, Invisible Touch by Summer Devon and Book #3, Crystal Clear Persuasion by Lyn Cash (Available April 6, 2007) you’ll get the whole amazing story.

Whew. How was that, Doug? Good for you? 😀

Hey, you got it! And… you paid for it with miles? How’d that work?

Anyway, you’ll be sorry when we all become atrophied blobs of computer-fed flesh, and you have nothing to electronically wipe your butt for you.

I hope the results do bode well for Karen’s future treatment…

My eBook is a freebie, a short story featuring the main characters of my Dubric Byerly Mystery series. It’s about Lars’s first case and is available at http://homepage.mac.com/tambo/.Public/fire.pdf

Thanks, Miss Taken, and welcome to Balls and Walnuts.

Pat, I’ll watch for it. Better still, give me a jab in the ribs when you begin.

    Kris, thanks for the recs!

DN, we have our FF miles through AmEx. They let you use your miles to buy shtuff.

Tam, thanks for the reminder. That’ll be going on the reader!

  7. Glad Karen’s better. I’m just catching up on blog rounds, so here’s my pimp post! All of my ebooks are funny and kinky. OK, my two at Cerridwen are steamy but not erotic, so less kinky. I recommend you start off with Dangerous Games, in which artificial intelligence runs wild. Or maybe Love and Rockets, that RT award winner. Or maybe you’d like handcuffs with your humor and hot sex, in which case, Wolf In Cheap Clothing. Really, you want funny kink, download me. *g*
