Al Gore is on the cover of the latest Wired mag. “The resurrection of Al Gore”, the blub goes:
He invented the internet (sort of). He became President (almost). Now Al Gore has found his true calling: using technology to save the world.
He also got coverage in last months Rolling Stone about a stir it up documentary from director Davis Guggenheim which is basically a lecture by Al Gore a bout global warming. Dull? Not a bit. RS says that it grabs you like a thriller with an ending that will haunt your dreams. Gore keeps us riveted by being charming, literate and profoundly persuasive on a topic that’s scarier than anything in a dozen Japanese horror flicks (RS words, not mine).
I think we’re going to hear a lot more from Gore in the future and that to me is a good thing.
Kate – for the life of me I can’t figure out how to leave a comment on your Daily Kos page. I just wanted to salute you – I’ve been a fan of Gene’s since I picked up a copy of his book, “The Hypochondriac’s Guide to Life – And Death”. If you haven’t read it yet, do yourself a favour.
Why can’t I figure out how to leave a comment there? I’m blaming the most delicious barbecued salmon I just had for supper. Even the Doc himself couldn’t have done it better.
It was funny AND sad.

I just noticed that I have ‘a bout’ instead of ‘about’ in my comment. D’oh!
Hey everyone! Go over to Alan’s blog and check out the Adult Swim link. That was great.
Sad, dusty? Aren’t you happy we’re not having to deal with killer glaciers? 🙂
thanks for the links to comedy.
it’s blogwhore time me, with a link to gene weingarten.
Wow! Thanks for the plug Walnut. I saw the video on ‘Better Than Fudge’. I’m chuffed that you
mention my blog.
Hooray!
Happy Mo-Day, Kate.
Don’t mention it, Alan. And thanks for teaching me a new word. (Chuffed. These kids and their funny slang!)

Hiya Doug!
Chuffed: Adj. Pleased, delighted. Compare with ‘dischuffed’ and ‘chuffed to buggery’. E.g.”I’m well chuffed at the result.” [1950s]
That was quite wonderful.
I miss SNL *sniff* *teary eyes*
I miss the old SNL, circa late 70s, early 80s. IMO, everything from the 90s on has been so spotty, it hasn’t been worth staying up that late.
But, yes, that WAS great. Maybe he’ll run 🙂
Roseanne Rosannadanna, Coneheads, Blues Brothers… *sigh*
mm, you have to sign into Dkos to post or comment.
Hi doug [waving] busy day today?
