Here’s something I pieced together from our home movies, covering babyhood to first day of Kindergarten.

Sis, who is the blonde girl?

Dougal, you were a very cute kid. I can just hear the female awwwws.

  2. Chris says:

    OMG, yes, you were adorable!

  3. Walnut says:

    You’re right, I was adorable!

  4. Shaina says:

    *awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww*!!!!

My parents were too cheap to buy a video camera, so the only videos of me as a kid are ones my grandparents took. I was pretty cute too…and i had the *squeakiest* little voice! lol.

  5. Yeah, yeah, yeah…you were a cute little bugger…[:
Anyway, the blonde girl was some neighbor kid, I think from across the street. I recall her being there just don’t recall WHY she was there or her name for that matter.

  6. Walnut says:

Shaina, you still are pretty cute.

Sharon, the odd thing is, we have some films of the grandparents, and there’s a mystery blonde girl there, too. I don’t know if it’s the same blonde girl.

    Was it Mitzi or Avon?

  7. I’ll have to wait and see the whole DVD to jog my memory, but it could be Mitzi; it is definitely not Avon.

  8. It could easily be Mitzi, and we had taken her with us…I had thought she was an Alhambra kid since that clip was taken at our Grandparents’ house. I recall quite well the names of all the Hoffman girls.

  9. Walnut says:

Have you watched the whole thing? I think there’s even a bit with Janet.

To clarify to my readers: our neighbors across the street were Hoffmans, too (no relation to us). Oddly enough, our neighbors to the west were the Wilsons, and their neighbors across the street were also Wilsons (no relation to one another).

  10. The Wilsons? Who was that? It was the McGuires I think you’re talking about who were related to each other. They were two brothers.

  11. No, I can’t watch the whole thing on this computer…I’m waiting til I get home and can watch the DVD you sent.

  12. Walnut says:

Oh, this is funny. Know why I thought Peet’s last name was Wilson? Because that was Dennis The Menace’s neighbor’s name. Memory is an odd thing.

  13. I thought you might have been referencing Dennis the Menace.
