My first art film

For my Father’s Day present, I bought myself Pinnacle Studio 12 video editing software. I have great comic designs for my camera/software combo, but I have to learn how to use this stuff first. Here’s my first effort.

I need to learn how to add music, improve the video quality (I probably picked the wrong option somewhere along the way), and do voice-overs. Also, there’s a way to decouple the audio and video tracks — that way, audio from one clip can be used as voice-over for the next. I need to develop some facility with that, too.

Next step: bring my camera into work and start the interviews. This will be good.

Hey Vader, stop breathing on the mic. (I want a ferret now) Do you have a PC or a Mac? I have a Mac and use iMovie HD and it’s pretty good. Lets you do blends and add music.

You have a fuzzy blue bathtub?

    Nice work.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I have a Mac, but I don’t use iMovie or iDVD.

I used Pinnacle hardware many moons ago. It worked well. It came with Adobe Premiere back then, so maybe they didn’t have their own editing software at the time.

  4. What! No lesbian vampires? What kind of an art film is this?

(I love that ‘bottle brush’ tail thing they do when they get all revved up…)

This make me miss my daughter’s fuzzies, damn it. Not enough to get some more of my very own though; too few of us left here to cover the responsibility of looking after them.

LOVE the fuzzy blue bath tub. That’s so awesome! The critters are cute too.

Yes, we have an enormous fuzzy blue jacuzzi in our bathroom, with gold fixtures and mirrored walls behind it, mirrors with some kind of gold filigree crap. We hate it. I have never taken a bath in that tub. The one time I filled it up and got the jets running, the noise was appalling — surely enough to give a temporary threshold shift. (Sorry about the jargon, but that IS my business. TTS = temporary deafness after noise exposure.)

The tub gets great usage as a ferret bath, though.

You know, I usually not one for extensive remodeling. I typically like to preserve the original integrity of a piece or even a room. And gold fixtures and gold filigree is something I might even like. But, a fuzzy jacuzzi just has bad idea written all over it. Water. Fuzz. Seriously?

    I think I know why your house isn’t selling…

Green astroturf, maybe. But, blue fuzz?
