I have tried valiantly to chat, but alas, I cannot. The internet connection is wonky, and the battle between Firefox, IE, Stickam, and my laptop apparently cannot be resolved. Alas. Alack.

Regarding the meal I was dithering about: I ended up making a Beef Bourguignon style dish for Ms Canada and the Offspring. After 3-1/2 hours of simmering, the sauce was rich and the meat meltingly tender…. mmmmm. Left overs for lunch tomorrow if the Boy doesn’t get the munchies later tonight.
Sorry I missed you last night – Child the Elder was in a chatty mood and needed a little 1-on-1 attention.
mmmm Beef Bourguignon. Now there’s a recipe. It’s a bit of work, if you follow Julia Child’s recipe, but the payoff is tremendous.
Sorry I missed the rest of you! What are you folks doing today? I’m making yeasty waffles for the family, and I’ll be doing last-minute tweaks on the manuscript. It’s a rainy morning, a fine time to edit 🙂
