Even violins can’t turn this day around.

  2. Dan says:

What? It’s not a naked sushi bar? Are you running a fever? 😉

  3. Dan says:

Violins? How about puppies? They can turn any day around, no?

Today I took the afternoon off, and helped teach very basic judo* to a group of about 20 5- to 13-year-olds. It was a lot of fun, but next time we’ll use our own mats.

    * Breakfalls, a hip throw, a ground hold, and some games.

We are back from our camping trip: dirty, smelly, and tired, but happy.

    I think.

  7. Walnut says:

Dan: yes, those puppies were good for a smile.

Pat: would have made a great YouTube vid, I’ll bet.

Dean: I hope you took lots of pictures!

If we pull an open thread, will it unravel the entire blog?

    Tam: 3 out of 4 ain’t bad *snerk* 😉

    Lyvvie: try it and see!

microsoar: sounds like Siggy in Gateway. Am I right? Or perhaps Zork, or Adventure, or the old Hitchhiker’s Guide game . . .
Dean, they’re not loud enough. Turn the amps to 11.

  13. Pat J says:

11 is for sissies. I had a stereo once whose volume knob went to 30.

  14. Dean says:

30? 30 is for pussies. We used to feed 30 to the cat when he was sick.

I had a car stereo and I put on a piece of masking tape with ‘100’ on it. That made it really, really loud.
