Friday Flickr Babes: What else? Hot.

Hot, originally uploaded by grantthai.

You know those false color maps where the hottest areas of the country are in red, middlin’ hot in yellow, and so forth? We’re well into the cooler colors, but we’re still toastier than we would like to be. Perhaps we’d be happier in Fairbanks.

79F? WTF? No wonder the glaciers are all melting.

Downstairs, I’m baking a ham. Not a smart move — I should have made gazpacho. But I can imagine Jake’s horror.

COLD SOUP?

    Old joke:

    Why is vichysoisse like Canada?

Because it’s bland, cold, and half French. Eh.

  2. Dean says:

And Pat and Dean live there!

    Oh, wait…

  3. Dean says:

Ok, I’m all done failing to be funny now. I’m just admiring your sultry overheated wench. Perhaps she should take some clothing off to cool down?

  4. Walnut says:

We can hope, Dean. We can hope.

I saw Fairbanks… and immediately thought of the Provincial Park in Northern Ontario. Yeah, it’s 11C or 52F there this morning. Don’t think that’s the happier that you were thinking of! 🙂

    I’d say 79F ain’t that bad! 🙂

Forgive me, Doug, if I fail to feel too sorry for you;) Last week, here in SE North Carolina we had one day where the temp reached 107F and the following day it was 108F. I wish I could say yesterday’s 101F felt cool by camparison, but once you get past 100F it is all pretty much the same. Today it is only 90F and it feels like Autumn!

52F sounds good to me, Rella.

KariBelle, I have an excuse. My wife’s health problems make her extremely heat sensitive, and that’s why we chose this area of the country. Well, that’s Karen’s excuse. Mine is, I’m a heat wimp.

Well, if you are a heat wimp, then you and Kris should trade places. It’s been nice and cool in the evenings, just perfect for sleeping! I’m loving it!

I think that you should seriously consider moving to Canada, just for the nice cool evenings… granted, I’m a little further north than the big cities, but that’s how I likes it! 🙂
